Spread across the banks of the Bosphorous river, Istanbul is a picture of beauty and architectural glory. The city is full of intrique with its endless mosques and a varied crowd of people from all across the world . On the cobbled roads down the Bazaars where you will find fares across the world being sold to you, the population will be Greeks to Persians, Indians to Russians, Bulgarians , Americans and Chinese crowding along. But all this has not touched the serenity and peace of the city. I have been enchanted by the Bosphorous in the early mornings and enjoyed many a leisurely breakfast there . Equally beautiful are the sunsets across the shimmering waters in the evenings but what really enchanted me are the Tulips i found here . The busy roads in the city have rows and rows of these beautiful flowers neatly blooming in the centre and the sides giving a almost picturesque look to a city street. They are a riot of colours - yellow, white, purple, blue and red and a very pleasing sight for the beholder.
The Valley of Tulips is a paradise where you are surrounded by these flowers and colourful butterflies and is straight out of a fairy tale book . You almost expect to see a fairy flitting across the grass towards you. The City Palace is another Tulip galore across beautifully manicured lawns and garden. In the middle of it , is a huge clock made of tulips on the lawns- a truly beautiful display of flowers . For tulip lovers , this is a delight.
I have always felt that Istanbul with its beauty and history is one of the most beautiful places in this world. Its a trip that is a must for people who love to travel...
